It remains unknown where Jaire Alexander would find himself before the start of the 2025 but for his Green Bay Packers teammate Xavier McKinney, he should be back in Lambeau Field.

It is not just the 2020 36th pick who wants that to happen. It is the whole roster according to McKinney.
“We would all like him back,” said McKinney after the team’s first OTA practice on Wednesday.
Alexander’s fate with the team is the biggest question heading into the 2025 season. His availability is being put on the spotlight after he missed Week 11 to Week 18 of the 2024 season. He underwent a season-ending surgery on his knee by January 1.
General manager Brian Gutekunst hinted early in the offseason that they are prioritizing team’s sake and if he won’t be back with the team, they will make sure they’ll get something out of him whether as part of the team or via trade.

“So we’ll see where it goes, but again, working with (Alexander’s agent) weekly and trying to figure out what’s best for both Jaire and the Packers.”
The latest is that the Packers offered him a structured deal to calibrate his $16.15 million base salary in 2025 and $18.15 million the next year. However, no deal was made between two camps.

Packers’ restructured deal is seen as their desire to keep the two-time Pro Bowl.
The consensus is that the squad wants their veteran back. McKinney especially found a mentor in him during the offseason.

“We want him here, but however that situation plays out — that’s how it plays out,” McKinney said.
However, the 26-year-old safety knows that the NFL is a business and all he can do is wish that Alexander will get the best.
“At the end of the day, I’m going to be behind him regardless of what the situation is going on,” he said.
“We’ve developed a relationship good enough off the field to where it’s like I just want what’s best for you — and I’m going to be here regardless.”
