NORMAN — Tae Davis will officially be suiting up for Oklahoma this upcoming season.
The Notre Dame transfer, who committed to Oklahoma on April 7 while also declaring for the NBA Draft, has withdrawn from the draft pool ahead of Wednesday night's deadline, according to national college basketball reporter Jon Rothstein. Underclassmen had until 11:59 p.m. ET on Wednesday to withdraw from the draft and remain eligible for the 2025-26 college basketball season, per NCAA rules.
Davis' decision to withdraw from the draft was an expected outcome for the 6-foot-9, 215-pound forward, who did not receive invites to either the NBA Draft Combine or the NBA G League Elite Camp earlier this month and was not being projected in recent mock drafts. Instead, Davis will join Oklahoma as one of four major transfer additions for Porter Moser's program.
Davis comes to Oklahoma with one year of eligibility remaining. He started his career at Seton Hall during the 2022-23 season before spending the last two years at Notre Dame. He enjoyed a breakout junior season with the Fighting Irish, averaging a career-high 15.1 points and 5.3 rebounds per game. He shot 47.6% from the field, 30.2% from 3-point range and 72.4% from the free-throw line while finishing the year as Notre Dame's second-leading scorer and second-leading rebounder.

Davis has appeared in 97 career games over the last three years, starting 66 of them — including 64 of his 65 games across two seasons at Notre Dame. He excelled as a downhill, slashing threat with a tendency to get to the rim, shooting 64.8% at the rim as a junior. He was at his best when he attacked the paint and was able to put his athleticism on full display, relying on his explosive burst off the dribble and solid handles for a player of his size.

With Davis, the No. 66 overall player in this year's transfer portal, now officially on board, Oklahoma is set to bring in the nation's 11th-ranked transfer class. Along with Davis, Oklahoma has added Alabama transfer Derrion Reid, a former five-star forward in the 2024 class; St. Joseph's transfer guard Xzayvier Brown and Miami transfer guard Nijel Pack. Each of those three players are ranked inside the top 40 of this year's transfer portal rankings, according to 247Sports.
