The two summer window is not yet open but Europe's biggest clubs are already making moves. Arsenal have been given permission to schedule a medical for Martin Zubimendi after triggering his £51million release clause, while a move for a much-needed striker appears to come down to Sporting's Viktor Gyokeres, who will cost £60m, or Benjamin Sesko, who will cost £92.5m. There is also interest in Leroy Sane on a free, who Tottenham have been offered.
Manchester United's miserable season arguably hit a new low with defeat to ASEAN All-Stars in a post-season friendly, but have at least already secured a key attacking signing for next season in Matheus Cunha, who is set to finalise a £62.5m move from Wolves. Meanwhile, captain Bruno Fernandes must decide on a move to Saudi Arabia before the end of the week.
Liverpool face late competition from Real Madrid for Florian Wirtz, despite submitting their first bid, reportedly worth €100million (£85m) plus add-ons, for the Bayer Leverkusen star. They are close to wrapping up deals for Jeremie Frimpong and Milos Kerkez, though, and are ready to rival Chelsea for Frankfurt frontman Hugo Ekitike and have begun talks over an £84m deal. Sporting tell Arsenal how much Gyokeres will cost
Sporting have told Arsenal that Viktor Gyokeres will cost €80million (£67m) this summer.
The Guardian reports that Sporting are ready to cash in on their star man, who has €100m release clause but are prepared to let him go for slightly less.
The club’s vice-president, Francisco Zenha, told reporters on Wednesday that no club has yet lodged a bid for Gyokeres, but it is understood that the Gunners consider him a key target.

Tottenham now favourites to sign Xavi Simons
Tottenham have made their interest known in Xavi Simons, who has decided to leave RB Leipzig this summer.
According to ESPN, Spurs are monitoring the situation. Simons is valued at a €80million (£67m) by Leipzig, so would be a club-record deal for a player thought of as capable of elevating the starting line-up.
Spurs want new attack talent on the wings, and the young Dutchman fits the bill.
Spanish publication Fichajes go as far as reporting that Spurs are now the most likely destination for Simons.

Arsenal rival Spurs for Sane
Arsenal are ready to rival Tottenham for Leroy Sane, who is available on a free this summer.
The German is out of contract this summer, with newly crowned Europa League champions Tottenham emerging as a potential destination next season.
According to Sky Germany, Bayern have offered a three-year contract extension worth around £240,000 a week, though the player is yet to make his decision ahead of a meeting with club executives yesterday.
And now, according to The Telegraph, the Gunners have joined the race. Mikel Arteta worked with Sane while the pair were at Manchester City.
Arsenal’s interest throws doubt on a possible move for Nico Williams, with both players predominantly playing off the left wing.

Man Utd miss out on windfall
Another European final has gone against Manchester United.
A week on from losing the Europa League final against Tottenham, they have been impacted by Chelsea’s win over Real Betis in the Conference League final.
According to reports in Spain, United were due to receive around £300,000 had Betis won due to a clause in Antony’s loan agreement.
For 45 minutes the Red Devils were in the money but a second half masterclass from Cole Palmer completed the turnaround.
Furthermore, the irony is that Jadon Sancho got on the scoresheet for the Blues.

Omar Berrada outlines Manchester United transfer plans
Manchester United Chief executive Omar Berrada has outlined the club’s approach to the summer transfer window.
The Red Devils are expected to wrap up a deal for Wolves forward Matheus Cunha after agreeing to pay his £62.5million release clause and have been linked with moves for Liam Delap as well as Bryan Mbeumo.
Outgoings will be equally as important for United this summer, especially after missing out on Champions League qualification.
That said, Berrada confident about the plans that are in place.
Speaking to MUTV, he said: “I can’t talk about specifics, but I can say that we’ve been planning for many months now.
“We were ready for all the different scenarios, so now we know what we need to do.
“We have a very clear idea of where we need to invest in the squad to improve, so (technical director) Jason (Wilcox), his team, Ruben have been in talks for many months.
“Now it’s a question of executing that plan and doing it in a way that is prudent but at the same time with ambition.”
