The future of Morgan Gibbs-White at Nottingham Forest looks uncertain this summer.
Forest would dearly love to keep hold of their talismanic number 10, but Manchester City are closely monitoring Gibbs-White ahead of the transfer window.
Forest landed Gibbs-White from Wolves shortly after winning promotion in 2022 in a deal worth an initial £25 million, with the Reds including a series of add-ons.
If Gibbs-White does leave Forest this summer, the Reds stand to make a significant profit, and it would allow Evangelos Marinakis and Nuno Espirito Santo a chance to get their heads together and enhance the squad.
With a club like City in the mix to try and sign Gibbs-White, it does provide a worry but there could now be a significant boost in the offing for the Reds.

Nottingham Forest might have received boost over Morgan Gibbs-White
Manchester City are looking at a number of players this summer, and it’s not set in stone that they will get Gibbs-White, especially with Forest demanding a significant sum of money.
Now, according to The Telegraph, City are going to try and get themselves a bargain deal for Lyon number 10 Rayan Cherki when the window officially opens.
The club feel unlikely to try and target two number 10s to replace Kevin De Bruyne, and perhaps Cherki is being targeted as a cheaper alternative to the Forest player.

Gibbs-White will fetch around £70 million, with Forest potentially looking to squeeze even more out of any deal and might even ask for a player in return.
Matheus Nunes has been linked with Forest, whilst James McAtee has also been a long-term target for the club.

It’s been another great season for Gibbs-White, who has caught the attention of City.
The Reds will naturally want more players to come in this summer, but it would be superb if the club could actually tempt Gibbs-White into remaining on Trentside for one more season.

Gibbs-White has been instrumental to everything good that Forest have done since returning to the Premier League and it’s not surprising he’s got a number of clubs looking at him.
What happens with the player remains to be seen, but the fact City are gearing up for a move for Cherki certainly offers hope that they won’t pursue Gibbs-White.
