Bundesliga club VfB Stuttgart will reportedly demand two players, either on loan or a permanent deal, in the arrangement to sell Angelo Stiller to Real Madrid.
According to a report by Spanish outlet Defensa Central, Angelo Stiller is the subject of interest from Real Madrid. The Merengues are combing the market for a versatile midfielder heading into the summer transfer window. So, the VfB Stuttgart mainstay has emerged as a target for the Spanish outfit.
However, the Bundesliga club will demand two players to agree to sell the Munich native to Real Madrid. While Stuttgart would prefer to land Arda Guler and Endrick, they realise they would unlikely get the duo in the deal to offload Stiller. Instead, they will demand Raul Asencio and Nico Paz, expected to return to the Santiago Bernabeu from Como in the summer transfer window.
The rise and rise of Angelo Stiller
Angelo Stiller has established himself as one of the best midfielders in the Bundesliga since joining VfB Stuttgart from TSG Hoffenheim in August 2023. While the 24-year-old could not establish a foothold at Bayern Munich after graduating from the Bavarian club’s youth division, he has come leaps and bounds at VfB Stuttgart.
The German international was exceptional in the 2024/25 season, contributing to 15 goals in 47 appearances across all competitions by finding the back of the net four times and providing 11 assists. Meanwhile, Stiller’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several high-profile clubs across Europe, including Real Madrid.
La Liga move on the horizon?
Real Madrid’s interest in Angelo Stiller is understandable. The Merengues are keen on reinforcing their midfield unit in the summer transfer window by signing a versatile midfielder. Toni Kroos has left a gaping hole in the middle of the park at Real Madrid, and they need more creativity from the central areas.
While the incoming Trent Alexander-Arnold will bolster Real Madrid’s creativity, Xabi Alonso will require more from the central positions. So, Stiller is a viable target for Los Blancos, with Real Madrid launching the offensive to secure his services. However, VfB Stuttgart will demand two players, either on loan or permanent deal, in the arrangement to sell the player in the summer transfer window.
While the Bundesliga club would prefer Arda Guler and Endrick, they will make do with Raul Asencio and Nico Paz, who will likely rejoin Real Madrid in the summer transfer window. So, it will be interesting to see if a part-exchange deal sees the light of day.
