Aston Villa ‘in front row’ to sign Arsenal youth product – Versatile midfielder on agenda

A host of Premier League clubs have been linked with AC Milan’s Yunus Musah over the past few months but it seems as if Aston Villa are key candidates to land the US international.

The versatile midfielder, who came through the Arsenal system, played 40 times in all competitions in the 2024/25 season for the Italian giants but was never really handed a consistent starting run in the team, either with Paulo Fonseca or Sergio Conceicao.

The idea of his exit from the San Siro is gaining momentum once again and Aston Villa can be the destination.

MilanLive have reported that while Milan rejected moves last summer, Musah can really pack his bags in the next few weeks. He is not an unsellable entity anymore and a move to the Premier League could be on the cards.

Aston Villa are ‘in the front row’ for the American but there is also competition from Spain, where Musah has previously impressed during his time at Valencia.

Unai Emery’s side will have to shell out €20m to sign the 22-year-old, who spent seven years in Arsenal’s development system.
