Turbulence and changes around you can affect you as a manager. Former Leicester midfielder Jason Wilcox hired Russell Martin to Southampton. Leicester lost Enzo Maresca after their promotion. Southampton kept their manager. However, the DOF Jason jumped ship and joined Manchester United.
This issue is often ignored in the progress of a club. However, at Leicester, it’s been the top topic this season. They blame the DOF for everything going wrong.
Jason Wilcox hired Russell Martin for Southampton. Both were new at Southampton. Wilcox was approached by Man Utd after a year down at St. Mary’s. The new DOF at Southampton, Johannes Spors was part of the decision to sack Russell Martin.
So who is Johannes Spors? He has a background from RB Leipzig, Vitesse Arnhem and Genoa. He is titled Technical Director. Southampton have just appointed Will Still as their new manager. We will see what will be happening. Certainly, changing the manager, DOF, and everything else will upset the balance at a football club.

The left back market isn’t the strongest this summer, but Wood, released by Tranmere, could be an interesting option
It would mean he could stay in the North West too. He’s off the back of a 40 game season for Tranmere. At 28 he’s in his prime pic.twitter.com/pQtPk10SRW

We believe that all of the changes around Russell Martin at Southampton must have affected him. These affected his work on how things really fell apart. The situation may have been even worse than at Leicester. Southampton even sacked his successor, so it looks to be more than just a manager change going on down south.
Jason Wilcox has not either had a slow party since joining Manchester United. The change of management and to work for the Eneos might be a tough challenge. Jason Wilcox had a long and fruitful relation with Pep Guardiola during his days at Man City. However, there is not really sunshine around at Man Utd at this point.
Jon Rudkin has received a lot of criticism from certain areas of the fanbase. Most of it is very unfair. It appears to be just an attempt to find that person to blame for everything going wrong. A childish approach from people who speak up and try to be smart without having the full picture.
Jon Rudkin could, of course, be moved to other operations inside the club. However, to sack him and get rid of him would be very foolish. He has a long relation to many activities at Leicester. Those who know him personally understand what it’s like to be part of the running of a professional football club. They become more silent. For a fan focused solely on that, the results on the field for the first team always come first.
Jason Wilcox would if he becomes available be a good fit for Leicester. He has a player background from all levels of football. He is a former Premier League winner. He has been part of promotion races. He knows how to run a club like Man City and Man Utd. He is currently in a job. If an opportunity arises, to see him return to King Power in a sporting role, would be excellent.
