Former Manchester United star Jadon Sancho rounded-off his loan spell at Chelsea in style with a goal in Wednesday night's Conference League final win over Real Betis.

Sancho joined the Londoners at the end of the summer transfer window after losing his spot in Erik ten Hag's team. After hitting the ground running early in the season, the 25-year-old has struggled for form under Enzo Maresca.

As part of the move, an obligation to make the switch permanent was included in the Blues finished higher than 14th in the Premier League. Maresca's men finished in the Champions League spots meaning they have an obligation to buy for £25million.

There is a £5m break clause to pull out of the deal, though, sparking doubts over his future at Stamford Bridge. Maresca has confirmed that the club will undergo talks within the next 48 hours following Wednesday night's win in Wroclaw.

"It's not the moment we have tomorrow, final," Marseca said ahead of the game. "Then in 24 hours, 48 hours, we're going to start to talk about the future."

Sancho was named on the bench against Betis but replaced Pedro Neto after an hour with Chelsea 1-0 down. 22 minutes later, he scored his fifth goal of the season to make it 3-1.

After celebrating his first trophy since lifting the EFL Cup with United in 2023, the former Borussia Dortmund star posted an image of himself, his medal and the Conference League trophy on Instagram. He included a crossed fingers emoji in the caption.

Former United teammate Marcus Rashford, who has seemed close with Sancho in the past, was one of the first to respond to the forward's antics by sending a message of a love heart emoji.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka also commented with two crossed finger emojis. Harry Amass, Christian Eriksen, Shea Lacey, Sofyan Amrabat, Donny van de Beek and Mason Greenwood all also liked the post.
