Everton’s new owners, the Friedkin Group, have big ambitions for the football club.
The American investors are ready to hand David Moyes a substantial budget, with the hope of returning Everton to Europe in the near future.
The Friedkins are eager to learn from the mistakes Farhad Mohsiri made, so they’ve completely reshaped the recruitment team.
Everton now have a new transfer model, too, with the focus on recruiting young talent to drive down the average age of the squad, which is currently the third oldest, only behind West Ham United and Fulham.
With that said, the new strategy is there for all to see as Everton now target a talented teenager on the continent.

Everton’s interest in Veljko Milosavljevic highlights the Friedkin Group’s new recruitment model
There’s been a feeling among Everton fans that the club could look to become the Borussia Dortmund of the Premier League.
The Friedkins want to give youth a platform and that strategy will certainly help to attract some of Europe’s best talent.
The Toffees are already looking into a deal for Chris Rigg, who is widely regarded as one of the best teenage midfielders in the country.

And now, Moyes is eyeing Red Star’s young centre-back Veljko Milosavljevic, further amplifying the change in approach this summer transfer window.
Paris Saint-Germain are rivalling Everton for Milosavljevic, so it won’t be an easy deal to do, but perhaps he’ll opt for a move to Merseyside if he’s assured of more regular playing time.
Is Milosavljevic ready for a move to Everton?
Everton News spoke exclusively to European football expert Callum Boyle to get the lowdown on Milosavljevic and whether he’d be ready for a move to the Toffees.
“So, Milosavljevic is a very promising player and is Red Star’s third youngest debutant in history at the age of 17. Given the club’s pedigree and reputation for developing very good players, that’s obviously an indicator of his talents.
“As a youngster, he played in a defensive midfield role but transitioned to CB as he got older – I presume because his teammate Maksimovic is just better by a long shot.
“As for a move to Everton, I’d say it’s too early for him. He’s made less than 20 senior appearances (19) for Red Star and will probably look at how his old teammate Kosta Nedeljkovic has fared by going to Aston Villa last summer (hardly played and loaned out in Jan).
“Would imagine Milosavljevic would be an u21s signing for now, maybe a couple loans, but if his trajectory stays the same, he could easily be seen as a good replacement for James Tarkowski in the future.”
So, with that said, perhaps Milosavljevic is one to watch for the future, rather than the short-term on Merseyside.
