Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim will speak to the media today.

Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim will speak to the media in Hong Kong today to preview tomorrow's second post-season tour friendly at Hong Kong Stadium.

The Reds played the first of their two post-season friendlies yesterday and were beaten 1-0 by an ASEAN All-Stars XI in Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia.

United's players and coaching staff have since flown to Hong Kong and will face Hong Kong at 1pm BST tomorrow lunchtime. They will be eager to produce a much better performance than what they served up in the Malaysian capital.

Ahead of tomorrow's tour concluder, Amorim will speak to the media to issue an update on the latest team news and potentially answer questions on the upcoming summer transfer window, which will officially open for business on Sunday.

United are understood to be edging closer to the signing of Wolves ace Matheus Cunha and it could be only a matter of time before that deal is wrapped up.

United need to step it up

As meaningless as yesterday's friendly against the ASEAN All-Stars was, United's performance will have no doubt concerned Ruben Amorim.

Of course, United's players were never going to perform with the same desire and application as they would have done for a competitive fixture, but the underwhelming nature of their performance was disappointing, especially when more than 70,000 supporters turned out to watch them.

Amorim, just as he did yesterday, will rotate his pack against Hong Kong, meaning practically every member of the squad is expected to earn more game time.

However, they will be keen to perform a lot better than they did yesterday to give their supporters in this corner of the world something to cheer about.
