CaughtOffside: Amorim tells winger to leave Man Utd – Milan among teams in talks

Alejandro Garnacho has been told that he can leave Manchester United this summer, and AC Milan are on his trail.

Argentinian outlet Olé reported earlier this week that Milan have begun negotiations with Manchester United, who are willing to sell Garnacho due to a breakdown in relations with coach Ruben Amorim.

Garnacho to Milan: Gaining momentum?

According to a report from CaughtOffside, Garnacho has been told he can depart Old Trafford, and there is no shortage of clubs that have come forward to express an initial interest.

Aston Villa are ‘among Garnacho’s suitors this summer’ while his former head coach Erik ten Hag is believed to be keen on bringing him to Bayer Leverkusen, where he has just taken over from Xabi Alonso.

With Ten Hag’s first big blow expected to be the sale of Florian Wirtz to Liverpool, it’s understood that he would ‘be keen on Garnacho as a replacement’, but is a loan target while United want a permanent sale.

Garnacho’s representatives ‘have also been approached by AC Milan’ as per the report. Their Serie A rivals Juventus, Inter and Roma have also expressed an interest in the Argentine.

Napoli were previously also keen on Garnacho but Antonio Conte’s future as their boss ‘hangs in the balance’ so things are on pause. Chelsea’s interest, meanwhile, has cooled.

It remains to be seen if the Rossoneri’s interest is dependent on a potential sale in the attacking department, such as Christian Pulisic or potentially even Rafael Leao.
