Liverpool are keeping an eye on 23-year-old Monaco winger Maghnes Akliouche. The player has had a strong season with 8 goals and 12 assists. The French winger is becoming a good player and many different clubs in England are already taking notice. Those include Manchester United, Manchester City, Newcastle, **Tottenham**and Nottingham Forest.
The word is that Man Utd are the front runners to sign Akliouche. And when playing for an established club he is likely to be available for around €60-70 million. Meanwhile, no contact has taken place with Monaco yet. Akliouche and Monaco are being followed very closely by most top clubs in England through the 2024/25 season.
The French side has made it very clear that they have been open for business. If the stature of a Premier League team comes calling, they may cash in again. Paris Saint-Germain have shown an interest too. But, as usual, they are probably hoping to sell him outside Ligue 1.
Could Akliouche Fit into Arne Slot’s Plans?
While Akliouche is clearly a rising star with big potential, a move to Anfield would raise questions about game time. The Reds does already have a lot of attacking body currently onboard. New manager, Arne Slot has already made it clear about the changes this summer with the Reds. But, whether he can even entice the youngster to join and offer him a chance to be in a very competitive squad is yet to be seen.
For the Frenchman, picking the right club where he can keep growing will be key. The PL champion’s offer prestige and Champions League football. But, clubs like Spurs or Forest might offer more minutes. Either way, Akliouche looks set for a big move. This summer window could be his breakout moment on a larger stage.
