Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Vitor Pereira has admitted they’ve got plenty of Portuguese players on their radar ahead of the summer.
[A Bola have comments](https://www.abola.pt/) from the Wolves boss today in which he admits they will have their eye on the Portuguese market once again in the coming weeks.
Wolves and Portugal have become almost synonymous since their promotion to the Premier League, initially thanks to a relationship with super-agent Jorge Mendes.
It’s seen a long line of Portuguese talent come through the doors over the years, some proving to be more successful than others.
The likes of Joao Moutinho, Ruben Neves, Diogo Jota, Jose Sa, Pedro Neto and Nelson Semedo have all proven to be smart, influential additions. There’s also managers such as Pereira and Nuno Espirito Santo, who have made their mark.
It’s a market the club knows well and one it seems they plan on using again this summer as they look to build and avoid finding themselves in a relegation battle once again next season.
_“We are a small country, but we produce a lot of quality,”_ he said.
_“Both players and coaches, so it is always a market that is on the radar. We have already identified many, many, but Portuguese players are expensive \[laughs\].”_
The focus is on moving up the table after a 16th placed finish this year thanks to Pereira’s arrival, which sparked a superb second half of the season and them finishing 17 points from danger.
_“I hope to do better, honestly,”_ he added.
_“I myself hope to do better, now we will see, only after the transfer market, after seeing what will happen with the departures and arrivals, will I be able to create more or less expectations regarding next season.”_
