Morning all.

Short posts over the next couple of months as it’s that time of year..

Talking of which, we are just three days away from the transfer window opening for the summer. Rumours will be rife, especially in the striker department. Whilst I know no deal is done until Arsenal.com announce it but it would appear Martin Zubimendi is a signature and medical away from becoming Arsenal’s first signing of the summer.

Sky Sports News’ reporter Kaveh Solhekol has reported that Arsenal been offered the chance to sign Leroy Sane is he does not extend his current contract at Bayern. Wherever this supposed offer has come from I have no idea but my guess is it’s his agent trying to find out who will pay his client the most. After all, just before the Arsenal story, it was Totts who had been offered the chance to sign Sane.

Sane is 29 years old, 30 in January and while I know many players can stay at the top level of the game well into their 30’s, signing Sane would in my opinion be an expensive risk. Just a Raheem Sterling proved to be. Mikel Arteta knows him well of course from his time at Man City but the thought of the two linking up again is already giving me a headache.

Hopefully, it won’t happen although I won’t be surprised if it does.

Jeorge Bird, Arsenal’s go to man for all things academy related hasreported that Salah-Eddine Oulad M’hand is very likely to depart the club when his contract expires next month. Others expected to depart are Khayon Edwards, Nathan Butler-Oyedeji, Jack Henry-Francis and Jimi Gower as they too will be out of contract. At one stage or another, all those young players have been part of Mikel Arteta’s match day squad and first team training but as they reach a certain age, a decision needs to be made on whether they are good enough to occupy a first team squad place or not. I guess these are not.

Talking of exits, if Arsenal need to sell in order to buy the number of players Mikel Arteta has hinted he needs for next season, who would be on your list?
