Three Chelsea players named in Conference League Team of the Tournament after Blues thrash Real Betis

Chelsea capped off a dominant Conference League campaign with an equally emphatic win in the final against Real Betis.

The Blues won 4-1 in Wroclaw to become the first club to win every single European major honour on offer.

It feels a long time ago when the Blues were wasting time to beat Servette in the qualifying match to get into the competition, however after that it has been mostly plain sailing for Enzo Maresca’s men.

The manager has used the midweek games to heavily rotate his side throughout the campaign, with the goalkeeper position one that frequently saw change.

Three Chelsea players named in Conference League Team of the Tournament

The manager confirmed before the game that Filip Jorgensen would start. He had been one of the more consistent players of the run to the final.

As a number of starters returned, there was no place of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, despite no Chelsea player featuring more in Europe than him this season.

It is perhaps no surprise then that the duo have been named in SofaScore’s statistical Team of the Tournament as part of the three selections from Stamford Bridge.

The other inclusion was Tosin Adarabioyo, who didn’t start the final despite his brilliant personal performance in the final Premier League game against Nottingham Forest.
