Liverpool are set for a very exciting summer transfer window.
The Reds have just won the Premier League, but they’re not resting on their laurels heading into next year.
Jeremie Frimpong is set to sign for Liverpool, Milos Kerkez has agreed personal terms with the Reds, while Florian Wirtz is also a Liverpool target.
Wirtz is expected to sign for Liverpool, but, as of yet, there’s been no official news on that front.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Lewis Steele has been discussing Wirtz’s situation, and he’s shared what the midfielder has been up to over these past few days.

What Florian Wirtz has been doing this week
Steele shared what he knows about Wirtz and his current situation.
According to the journalist, Wirtz has been on holiday this week, so there hasn’t been tons of movement on the Liverpool front.
However, Steele notes that a deal is still expected to be done, and he could even be a Liverpool player by the time Germany’s game against Portugal rolls around.
“There’s not much going on with Florian Wirtz at the moment. That’s not a bad thing. In fact, it’s probably a good thing. Florian Wirtz has spent his last few days on holiday. Germany play Portugal next Wednesday in Munich, hopefully Wirtz will be playing. Will he be a Liverpool player in that game? You would probably say maybe,” Steele said.
“This time last week I said I had a sneaky feeling that Liverpool might edge ahead in this race, they are now well in command of the race.”
Liverpool’s past double transfer announcements
Liverpool have done some early business in this summer transfer window, and they could be set for a classic double transfer announcement.
Indeed, with both Frimpong and Wirtz set to arrive from Bayer Leverkusen, it would make the world of sense to announce both players’ arrivals in tandem.
Liverpool have done double announcements in the past, and some have gone better than others.
Liverpool’s past double transfer announcements
Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll
Luis Garcia and Xabi Alonso
Nicolas Anelka and Milan Baros
Ozan Kabak and Ben Davies
Luis Suarez was a star for Liverpool, while Andy Carroll struggled, meanwhile, Luis Garcia and Xabi Alonso were both hits for Liverpool.
Unfortunately, the same can’t be said of Ozan Kabak and Ben Davies who signed at the same time back in January 2021.
Nicolas Anelka and Milan Baros were both announced as Liverpool players at the same time back in 2001 as well.
Liverpool do like a double signing, and they could be set to repeat the same trick here with Wirtz and Frimpong.
