Everton have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Manchester City star Jack Grealish.

David Moyes is set to be backed by the Friedkin Group to transform his squad in the summer transfer window.

The Blues are in desperate need of attacking reinforcements, with a severe lack of goal involvements from the likes of Beto and Dominic Calvert-Lewin this season.

Everton can seal Grealish loan deal

Grealish has struggled to make an impact with Pep Guardiola‘s side since his move from Aston Villa but may just need a change of scenery to rediscover his best form.

A report from TBR Football (29 May) claims that the Citizens are ready to consider sending the England ace out on loan next season.

Grealish loan makes sense for Everton

If the new owners are looking for a marquee signing to start of the new era at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, then they should look no further than Grealish on a temporary deal.

While he has struggled for form this season, notching just three goals and five assists, he could reinvigorate his career if he were the main man with the Blues rather than just a supporting cast member at City.

That was the case in his time at Villa Park, which earned him the £100million plus move to Guardiola’s side, and he may thrive in new surroundings under Moyes, where he would hold the majority of the attacking burden.

He can play on the left flank or as a number 10 and his ability with the ball at his feet could open up defences on a regular basis.

His experience would be a major benefit as well, with the three-time Premier League winner boasting over 150 appearances in his time at the Etihad Stadium.

It is a gamble worth taking, especially if his parent club take on the majority of his lofty wages, as he could be the difference maker that the L4 outfit needs to rise up the table after years in the doldrums.
