Cavs enter the offseason with two untouchables, might trade other two stars

Cleveland Cavaliers reportedly consider only Donovan Mitchell and Evan Mobley as untouchable, potentially making the rest of the roster, including Darius Garland and Jarrett Allen, available in trade discussions.

The Cleveland Cavaliers looked like legitimate title contenders entering the playoffs after an impressive 64–18 regular season. But their championship hopes were dashed in the second round, falling to the Indiana Pacers in a surprising early exit.

The disappointing postseason could prompt the Cavs’ front office to shake things up this offseason. According to reports, they’re open to making bold moves, even if it means parting ways with some of their biggest stars.

Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com reports that the team currently views only Donovan Mitchell and Evan Mobley as untouchable. That leaves All-Star caliber players like Darius Garland and Jarrett Allen potentially on the trading block.

"I have been getting the sense that the Cavs would be more willing to entertain and at least consider possibilities for Jarrett Allen and Darius Garland than they have in the past," Fedor said on the Wine and Gold Talk podcast.

Both Garland and Allen remain under contract for the next few seasons and played key roles in Cleveland’s dominant regular season.

Garland averaged 20.6 points, 6.7 assists, and 2.9 rebounds per game, while Allen posted 13.5 points and 9.7 rebounds per contest.
