Cody Gakpo has packed his bags — but not (yet) for a new club. The Liverpool forward was seen enjoying the sunshine at the French Open in Paris, even as rumors swirl about a possible exit from Anfield.
With Bayern Munich reportedly interested, Gakpo’s trip to Roland-Garros turned heads. Cameras caught him courtside at the famous Court Philippe-Chatrier, watching tennis while the football world watched him.
The timing of his appearance raised eyebrows, especially as his name keeps popping up in transfer talks.
It’s been a busy few days for Gakpo off the pitch. Just before heading to Paris, he made an appearance on the red carpet at the premiere of a Formula 1 movie in London.
But while he’s been enjoying the spotlight, fans are more focused on whether his next destination involves a football pitch in Germany.

Bayern interest in Cody Gakpo adds fuel to the fire
Gakpo has just finished a strong season at Liverpool, scoring 18 goals and providing six assists. His performances helped the Reds to a successful campaign, and now clubs are circling.
Bayern Munich, still looking to boost their frontline, are said to be seriously considering a move. German journalist Christian Falk claims the Bundesliga champions see Gakpo as a Plan B, with their main target, Florian Wirtz, looking more likely to head to Liverpool.
Bayern like Gakpo’s versatility. He can play out wide or behind the striker — a handy option behind someone like Harry Kane.
But a transfer would come with a price. Reports (via Sky Sport Germany) say Liverpool would expect a fee of around €50 million (£42 million) if they are to let him go.
Gakpo, however, is not rushing any decisions. He’s set to join the Netherlands squad for June’s World Cup qualifiers. So for now, it’s tennis, not transfers, on his mind.
