Newcastle United captain Bruno Guimaraes was spotted doing something incredible inside St James’ Park after their defeat to Everton.
The Brazilian has been an integral part of Eddie Howe’s starting XI this season, playing in every single Premier League game and guiding them to their first domestic trophy for 70 years.
There is no doubt that Bruno Guimaraes has solidified himself as a legend at Newcastle United, even after just three years on Tyneside.
Guimaraes was named Newcastle captain at the beginning of the 2024/25 season, replacing Kieran Trippier. Many may have been worried about the decision at the start of the season, but it has proved to be one of Howe’s many great choices at Newcastle.
On the final day of the season, Newcastle were beaten by Everton at St James’ Park, but they had still done enough to secure a return to the Champions League for a second time in three seasons.
Now, a fantastic new video has surfaced of Guimaraes after the game, which fans will love.

Bruno Guimaraes’ incredible act after Newcastle United’s success
The 27-year-old was delighted with Newcastle’s return to the Champions League and is set to wear the armband next season in Europe’s top competition.
Newcastle have finished their best season in living memory, one that has even bettered those when the likes of Kevin Keegan and Sir Bobby Robson were in charge of the club, and Guimaraes is well aware of that.

In a video posted on X by Keith Downie, Guimaraes can be seen walking up and down the St James’ Park pitch on his knees.
The act is something many Brazilians do to celebrate success. It is a way of thanking God for the Carabao Cup win and Champions League qualification.
Downie added that Guimaraes has also covered more distance than any other player in the Premier League this season, with a staggering 261 miles.
Bruno Guimaraes’ transfer plea to Newcastle United chiefs
This summer is set to be transformative for Newcastle, who are eager to bring new faces in during the next transfer window.
Opening at the start of June, Newcastle have over £150m to spend on players following a sensible approach to their last three windows, which saw very few first-team additions.
However, Guimaraes has urged Newcastle to sign new players this summer to give them the best chance of bringing more silverware to Tyneside.
The Brazilian claimed the squad is “too small” and that they will need more bodies for the busier schedule next season.
Reports have stated that Newcastle are looking to sign a goalkeeper, centre-back and right-winger this summer, but the budget is there for even more signings this summer.
