Arsenal are showing keen interest in a summer move for Real Sociedad forward Takefusa Kubo, Spanish newspaper AS has claimed.
The Gunners have reportedly made contact regarding the Japan international’s potential availability this summer and have earmarked Kubo as a possible reinforcement on the wing.
Mikel Arteta’s side are expected to sign a new wide forward to complement the likes of Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli, having been linked with several top-class forwards in recent weeks.
They are also believed to admire Real Madrid star Rodrygo and have been alerted to the Brazilian’s developing situation in the Spanish capital recently.

Takefusa Kubo in action for Real Sociedad
According to AS, Kubo has recently changed agents, and his new representatives are due to meet with Real Sociedad this week to discuss his future at the club.
The 23-year-old winger reportedly feels there is a lack of clarity around the Spanish club’s new project after they failed to qualify for European competitions this season.
Kubo is under contract at Real Sociedad until June 2029 and was recently the subject of a reported eye-watering proposal from Saudi Arabia.
He rejected a move to the Middle East in the final days of the January transfer window, which was claimed to be worth €160million over a four-year contract.
Arsenal have reached an agreement in principle to make Kubo’s teammate Martin Zubimendi their first summer signing, with a long-term deal for the Spanish international now close to completion.
The Gunners are expected to trigger Zubimendi’s release clause, worth €60m (£51m), and are also believed to be targeting a new goalkeeper, with Espanyol star Joan Garcia on the radar.
