Arsenal And Tottenham‘Offered’Chance To Sign Ex-Manchester City PL Title Winner

Arsenal and Tottenham have reportedly been offered to sign Bayern Munich’s Leroy Sane this summer.

The Gunners are set to add more firepower in attack, with the winger position a target to improve this summer. Bukayo Saka suffered a hamstring injury this summer, and so Arsenal would like to bring in another winger who can ease some of the pressure of the England star.

Mikel Arteta’s side have been linked to signing Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams and Real Madrid’s Rodrygo. However, both are expected to command hefty transfer fees, and so the Gunners may look to other targets.

One such name is Leroy Sane, who, according to Sky Sports, has been ‘offered’ to both Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur. The German is open to a move back to the Premier League after he spent four years with Manchester City between 2016 and 2020.

He has since made 220 appearances for Bayern Munich, scoring 61 goals and providing 55 assists. He would also provide Arteta with someone familiar on how to win a Premier League title, as he won the accolade twice during his time with City.

Signing Sane could help Arsenal save £67m for a striker

It is understood that Arsenal are set to provide Arteta with at least £100m to spend this summer, however, if they were to go after Real Madrid winger Rodrygo (understood to be their first choice), it wouldn’t leave the Gunners with as much to spend on a striker.

The number nine position is Arsenal’s biggest need, and so it should take priority. With that in mind, Arsenal could sign Sane on a free transfer this summer to add experience and depth in attack, without breaking the bank.

It would mean that the Gunners could then spend big on one of Viktor Gyokeres, Benjamin Sesko or Julian Alvarez, all of whom they have been linked with.
