Analyst Predicts Massive Bills Achievement to Bolster Josh Allen's Legacy

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen knocked one legendary achievement off his list in 2024 by being named the NFL MVP. Allen's first MVP came in his fifth consecutive 40 total touchdown season.

Allen's MVP campaign wasn't his best in terms of passing volume, throwing for 3,731 yards and 28 touchdowns, both his lowest marks since his sophomore season. But, Allen set his lowest mark for interceptions with six, and led the Bills to a 13-4 record.

Unfortunately for Allen and the Bills, Buffalo took their fourth loss in five years to the Kansas City Chiefs in the playoffs, with 2024's iteration perhaps the most heartbreaking. The Bills lost in the AFC Championship by just three points.

Sports Illustrated's Connor Orr believes 2025 is the year Allen and the Bills will finally get over the hump in the AFC, earning Allen his first Super Bowl ring. Going a step further, Orr believes Allen will win Super Bowl MVP.

"By virtue of the Bills being in the game, and by virtue of the fact that the quarterback always gets the award (justice for Josh Sweat!), Allen will be your Super Bowl LX MVP in a meat grinder of a game against the Eagles in Santa Clara," Orr wrote. "Khalil Shakir will lead Buffalo in receiving with 112 yards and catch the game-winning touchdown, prompting general manager Brandon Beane to yell YOU LIKE THAT in the postgame locker room."

If Allen could complete Orr's predictions, it would certainly leapfrog him in all-time quarterback discussions, perhaps even into the top-10. An MVP, Super Bowl ring, and Super Bowl MVP while being one of the best dual-threats to ever take the position would be hard to beat.

Since Allen entered the NFL in 2018, only four quarterbacks have thrown for more yards in the regular season: Patrick Mahomes, Jared Goff, Kirk Cousins and Derek Carr.

In that timeframe, only one player has thrown for more yards in the playoffs: Mahomes. Mahomes and Allen have been the best two quarterbacks in the NFL for half a decade, and Mahomes has been the main roadblock in Allen's path to playoff immortality.
