The Buffalo Bills made a number of headline additions in the offseason. Adding star edge rusher Joey Bosa and wide receiver Joshua Palmer.
Palmer, however, wasn't the only receiver Buffalo added, and hasn't been the receiver that has looked the best for Buffalo early in camp.
Buffalo began OTAs on Tuesday, the first time the Bills got to don helmets ahead of the 2025 season. One under the radar addition stood out on day one: wide receiver Elijah Moore.
According to Matt Parrino of syracuse.com, Moore has looked like a standout addition for Buffalo based on his play during the first day of OTAs.
"On Tuesday, Moore looked like he’s been in the Bills offense for years," Parrino wrote. "He was flying around on the field, showing off his signature speed and footwork. The highlight play came in 11-on-11 drills when he beat veteran cornerback Tre’Davious White on a Josh Allen touchdown. Moore had a couple of impressive plays throughout the day. The veteran, who is playing for his third NFL team in his fifth season, said he’s brought the chip on his shoulder to Buffalo."
Moore started his career in the AFC East, being drafted by the New York Jets in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft. Moore never truly caught on in New York, peaking in his rookie campaign with 538 yards and five touchdowns. His production dipped in his second season before he was shipped off to the Cleveland Browns.
With the Browns, Moore saw more consistent playing time and production. In his two seasons with the Browns, Moore played in 34 games, starting 25. He posted 1,178 yards and three touchdowns. Moore had 59 and 61 catches, respectively, in his two seasons with the Browns.
Moore could earn his way into regular snaps and receptions for the Bills. Khalil Shakir has a permanent starting spot in the Bills' receiver room. Outside of Shakir, Keon Coleman and Joshua Palmer look like the likely options to start, but neither should be penciled in for a full season starting gig if Moore is playing like a man possessed in camp.
