Liverpool could not have asked for much more from Arne Slot's debut season in the Premier League. While many were expecting his to be Arsenal's year and a 12-month transitional period for the Reds, it ended up being a memorable campaign for the Merseyside club.

They were the one consistent team throughout the entirety of the season and that ultimately led them to their 20th league title. However, as is the nature of football, Slot and his men cannot rest on their laurels.

It will be expected that Arsenal will come back stronger this summer and they have already been linked with a number of high profile recruits as they try to bridge the gap. Manchester City will be expected to perform much better next season and their form towards the end of the campaign suggests they shall.

Chelsea are also growing in confidence, especially after bagging the Conference League on Wednesday night, so the task for Liverpool remains a big one. Bayer Leverkusen attacking midfielder Florian Wirtz is seen as a top target for the Reds in the transfer window while his teammate Jeremie Frimpong is expected to replace Trent Alexander-Arnold.

AFC Bournemouth's Milos Kerkez is seen as the long-term replacement for Andy Robertson and could be purchased this summer to ease that transition. However, it appears the Reds are in the market for extra signings to go on top of the Leverkusen duo and Kerkez.

With this in mind and the summer transfer window opening for the first time on Sunday, the ECHO has taken a look at which players are being tipped to join the club, according to bookmakers bet365.

Eberechi Eze of Crystal Palace

Eze has managed to define himself as a star player for Crystal Palace and his FA Cup-winning goal topped off a great season for the England international. Europa League football next season at Selhurst Park could keep him at the club for another year so his exit is deemed unlikely. Liverpool are outsiders for him but if he were to leave, Tottenham Hotspur currently sit best placed to land him. (Image: Richard Pelham/Getty Images) 1 of 9

2. Rodrygo of Real Madrid celebrates after scoring his team's first goal during the UEFA Champions League 2024/25 Round of 16 First Leg match between Real Madrid C.F. and Atletico de Madrid at Estadio Santiago Bernabéu on March 4, 2025

The Real Madrid man is believed to have been left frustrated by his diminished role at the Bernabeu this season. Carlo Ancelotti's exit could keep him around for a little longer and Liverpool are outsiders to complete a deal. If he were to leave, Manchester City are best placed to pick him up. 3. RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko celebrates scoring

Sesko could have left Leipzig last summer for Arsenal but chose to extend his stay in Germany. There is believed to be a gentleman's agreement in place that will allow the Slovenian to leave for a reasonable fee but it is the Gunners who are thought to be his likely destination.
