LeBron James Sends Message to Mohamed Salah During Premier League Title Party

Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James has reasons to celebrate after a first-round elimination against the Minnesota Timberwolves in the 2025 NBA playoffs.

The Lakers, who paired up James with Luka Doncic ahead of the trade deadline, couldn't compete for the championship and were eliminated by Anthony Edwards and Co.

Meanwhile, one of James' teams continued to compete at a high level until they won a league title.

On Sunday, April 27, Premier League team Liverpool FC took on Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield Road with a huge chance to become league champions. Despite an early goal from Spurs' striker Dominic Solanke, Liverpool bounced back and scored five unanswered goals to win this duel against a big-six opponent and secure the 2024-25 Premier League championship.

Liverpool ended Manchester City's dominance in the Premier League, cutting their four-year championship run and returning to the top as the first team to beat Pep Guardiola's for the title since the 2019-20 season, when Liverpool also won.

James extended his congratulations to the team he partially owns as a member of Fenway Sports Group. During their championship celebration party, they were shown a video of the four-time NBA champion sending them love, which included a special message to Virgil Van Dijk and Mohamed Salah (via Liverpool Echo).

"I want to say congratulations to the champions of the English Premier League, once again bringing home another trophy.

"You know it is always special to do it with a group of guys that you love. It is super special.

"Shout out to the captains, Virgil and Mo, salute to you brothers. Continue to lead, continue to strive for greatness and always know You'll Never Walk Alone.

"So go Reds. Love you guys."

Liverpool were knocked out of the Champions League by eventual finalist Paris Saint-Germain and lost the Carabao Cup to Newcastle. They still were the most consistent team in the Premier League, beating dangerous opponents such as Arsenal, Chelsea, City and others.

James and his Lakers are already thinking of next season and what it can bring to the purple and gold, who are expected to be busy during the offseason.
