The latest embarrassment bestowed upon Manchester United has come to light after players were forced to take part in an open-top bus parade during their post-season tour of Malaysia on Wednesday. The Red Devils have endured one of their worst ever seasons in recent times, finishing a woeful 15th in the Premier League.
Mere hours after their final day victory over Aston Villa, players were seen jetting off to take part in the end-of-season tour where they were scheduled to play two games, the first of which ended in a 1-0 defeat to ASEAN All-Stars, in a trip that is set to earn the club more than £7.5 million. However, the players have been ridiculed by the scenes that greeted them during their parade.

Poor Turnout For United Open-Top Bus Parade
Some fans could be heard laughing at the scenes
In videos circulating of the parade online, several stars were seen on the upper deck of an open-top bus, offering polite waves to onlookers as the vehicle made its way through the city. However, it did not appear that the turnout was quite what those in charge of the event might have expected.
Footage shared on social media suggests that public interest in the event was limited, with relatively few supporters gathered along the route. In some clips, laughter from bystanders can be heard as the bus proceeds along a busy road that had not been closed to regular traffic.
Despite that, it didn't seem to dampen the players spirits too much, with the likes of Joshua Zirkzee, Matthijs de Ligt and Ayden Heaven seen acknowledging those on the street, but fans online have been quick to throw ridicule the way of Ruben Amorim.
