Manchester United’s recent post-season tour of Asia has been marked by more than just warm weather and friendly fixtures.
The club is currently in the middle of intense transfer activity, with Matheus Cunha’s £62.5 million move from Wolves all but confirmed and talks ongoing over Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo, priced at £50 million.
Meanwhile, the search for fresh attacking talent continues as Ipswich Town’s Liam Delap edges closer to Chelsea, highlighting the competitive summer ahead for Ruben Amorim’s side.

Amid this hectic backdrop, United’s players have been trying to find rhythm and morale following a disappointing 1-0 defeat to an ASEAN All-Stars team in Malaysia, a match that left fans frustrated.
One player, Amad Diallo, has recently found himself at the centre of a social media storm.
A photo circulated online showing the 22-year-old former United winger making an offensive gesture towards a fan during the Asia tour.
The incident occurred the day after the defeat in Kuala Lumpur and appeared to spark criticism among some supporters.
However, talkSPORT reports the moment was a reaction to an abusive comment directed at Amad’s mother, an insult he said he could not tolerate.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Amad issued a statement addressing the controversy: “I have respect for people but not for the one who insults my mom… I shouldn’t have reacted like that but I don’t regret what I did.

“We had a great time in Malaysia with good people.”
Security personnel had also warned the squad not to stop to sign shirts due to safety concerns, showing the tension surrounding the tour.
Interestingly, another image showed Diallo alongside Alejandro Garnacho, both making the same gesture, which is believed to be an inside joke among the squad.
Garnacho’s future at United remains uncertain after being told by Amorim to find a new club, with speculation growing following his Europa League final exit and public criticism from his brother.
Both Amad and Garnacho appeared as second-half substitutes in Malaysia, but fan frustration was evident as boos greeted the team at full time.
Amorim took responsibility for the poor performances, suggesting the boos might serve as motivation for the tough season ahead.
With their final post-season match against Hong Kong approaching, and a busy summer transfer window looming, Manchester United remain focused on rebuilding and returning stronger.
