One player almost certain to leave Manchester United this summer is Marcus Rashford.
The academy graduate and Ruben Amorim didn’t see eye to eye during the opening months of the Portuguese head coach’s reign.
Amorim criticised Marcus Rashford’s workrate in training, dropping him for the Manchester derby as a result along with soon-to-be exiled Alejandro Garnacho.
Following Amorim’s criticisms, Rashford stated his desire to leave United as he was seeking a new challenge within football.
This led to a January loan to Aston Villa, where he performed well at times, but ultimately, the Midlands club hasn’t triggered its option to buy Rashford, which has him on course to be back at Carrington in July.
However, progress toward a new destination is being made.

Marcus Rashford to Barcelona approved by Hansi Flick
It has long been known that Rashford’s dream destination would be Barcelona, and now things are lining up to make this possible.
According to Spanish outlet Sport, Rashford is now getting closer to a move to the Catalan club. Rashford is valued highly by Barcelona, with his attitude dedicated to joining them appreciated.

In order to make the loan happen, Rashford is willing to lower his wage demands, making the deal more feasible for the Catalan side, who are not willing to ruin their wage structure.
This extra step taken by Rashford has seen him approved by Barcelona boss Hansi Flick to be signed as a realistic attacking reinforcement. Barcelona believes that it can restore Rashford to his best.
On Wednesday, Rashford’s agent was spotted meeting Barcelona officials, and now Spanish journalist Albert Fernandez has claimed that a loan with a mandatory purchase option is being worked on.
The reporter says that Barcelona is offering a €30m (£25m) obligation to buy, while United want £40m with the entire salary covered.
Dominoes beginning to fall for Rashford to join Barcelona
As with most Barcelona transfers, there are a lot of things that need to fall into place for Rashford to be playing at the Camp Nou in August.
However, now dominoes are falling with Barcelona’s Rashford alternative, Luis Diaz, heading elsewhere
Firstly, Ben Jacobs has claimed that Al-Nassr are set to make a bid for the £71m for the Liverpool star, having already requested funding from the PIF.
Luis Diaz is a leading target for Al-Nassr, and club officials have already requested central funding to make a bid. Diaz is likely to cost €85m+, and an exit is by no means guaranteed.

In addition to this, Ansu Fati is expected to leave Barcelona on a loan with an option to buy, which clears out some squad space for the Englishman to join.
