Man United star Alejandro Garnacho is still in high demand despite his recent bust-up with manager Ruben Amorim, sources have told Football Insider.
Unhappy about his lack of involvement in the Europa League final defeat to Tottenham, Garnacho was then left out of the squad for their final-day clash with Aston Villa.
Despite United slumping to new lows both in England and Europe this season, there remains a big market for the 20-year-old with the transfer window set to open next week (1 June).
Both Chelsea and Napoli were interested in landing the 20-year-old back in January, and though a deal failed to materialise, the Blues could reignite their interest – as revealed by Football Insider earlier this month (5 May).
Atletico Madrid to enter Garnacho race as row rumbles on
According to the Daily Mail (27 May), Amorim told Garnacho to ‘pray’ he could find a new club this summer rather than having to return to United for pre-season training in July.
The confrontation, which allegedly took place during a team meeting in front of the entire first-team squad at their Carrington training base, is set to spell the end of Garnacho’s time at Old Trafford.

Amorim is now ready to sell the player in order to fund his own transfer plans over the coming months and spark a recovery after the club’s worst season in half a century.
Atletico Madrid are also reportedly big admirers of the winger, who has been described as “not the right fit” for Amorim’s system.

Sancho’s United future also hanging by a thread
Another attacker unsure of his Old Trafford future is winger Jadon Sancho.
The 25-year-old is on a list of five players United are actively looking to offload this summer.
Having spent the season on-loan with Chelsea, the former Borussia Dortmund star signed off his campaign in style after scoring in the Blues’ 4-1 UEFA Conference League final victory over Real Betis.
Despite the celebrations, Sancho’s long-term future remains uncertain.
Chelsea are widely reported to be still weighing up whether to pay a fee to cancel the buy obligation in his loan agreement, or keep the England international at the club.
