Everton have officially informed Flamengo that they are exercising the €15m option to sign Charly Alcaraz on a permanent basis.
That’s according to journalist Venê Casagrande, who report that Everton are already preparing the documents to sign the midfielder permanently.
Alcaraz joined Everton on loan from Flamengo in the January transfer window in a deal that included a clause for it to become permanent if he played in a certain number of games.
All indications have been that Everton want to sign him permanently, with David Moyes believed to be a far. Casagrande now reports they are in the process of doing that, having officially informed Flamengo that they are exercising the option to buy the midfielder. He reports that is valued at €15m plus €3m in bonuses.
Fellow journalist Raisa Simplicio backs this up, reporting that Everton have contacted Flamengo to inform them the clause in the loan deal is being activated.
She adds that Alcaraz’s own staff were informed by Flamengo technical director José Boto that the deal with Everton would be taking place. According to her information, the bonuses will be tied to certain objectives.
Journalist Bruno Lemos has the same information as the others but adds that Alcaraz will sign his contract as an Everton player tomorrow.
