Magic Johnson Sends Message To Thunder On Social Media

The Oklahoma City Thunder met one of their biggest goals of the season on Wednesday night: they beat the Minnesota Timberwolves and earned their spot in the NBA Finals.

For months now, some people have said the Thunder don’t have what it takes to go all the way, but those critics are now apologizing for being doubtful.

Magic Johnson is one of those people, and he took to social media on Wednesday night to praise the Thunder.

“I want to apologize to the Oklahoma City Thunder for underestimating them and not thinking they were ready to compete for a Championship,” Johnson wrote on X.

Johnson isn’t the only one changing his tune.

At the start of the season, everyone agreed the Thunder were a special team, but they felt they might not be able to beat the rest of the West and charge all the way to the Finals.

With competition like Nikola Jokic, Kawhi Leonard, LeBron James, and Kevin Durant in the Western Conference, how could such a young team truly compete?

However, the Thunder have been rock-solid all season and were the top seed in the West from the very beginning.

And while they did have a tough seven-game series against the Denver Nuggets in the playoffs, their road to the Finals has been fairly smooth.

Now they will take on the winner of the New York Knicks-Indiana Pacers series and battle for the Larry O’Brien trophy.

They have very good odds of taking that home, but even if they don’t, people will not doubt this team again for a very long time.

They started this year as a question mark, and now the Thunder are Western Conference champions.
