Jose Mourinho will forever be a legend at Inter Milan where he won the treble in 2010 but the Portuguese boss has admitted that he has recently been supporting his former club's rivals.

Mourinho, now manager of Turkish club Fenerbahce, won the Scudetto, the Coppa Italia and the Champions League in his second season at the San Siro.

That remains the last time that the Nerazzurri lifted the European Cup but they will have a chance to do so for a fourth time in their history when they face Paris Saint-Germain in Saturday's final in Munich.

It has been a stellar season for Simone Inzaghi's side who were, until last month, in the running to win three trophies.

Inter were then defeated by city rivals AC Milan in the Coppa Italia semi-finals before Napoli pipped them to the Serie A title by a point on the final day of the season.

That means that Mourinho will remain the only coach to have won a treble with an Italian club for at least another season.

And the former Chelsea, Man United and Tottenham boss admitted that he was relieved that his record had been preserved.

'I’m going to be very naughty but very honest. I was worried they could win the treble. Because I don’t want them to win the treble. It is mine," Mourinho told Sky Sports.

'But now that they’ve lost both the Championship (Serie A) and the Coppa Italia, I would love them to win the Champions League.'

Despite that, Mourinho also acknowledged Luis Enrique's impressive work at PSG this season. The 55-year-old is bidding to become just the sixth man to win the European Cup with two different clubs after his 2015 success at Barcelona.

'On the other hand, Luis Enrique is doing an amazing job in Paris; he’s completely transformed the team," said Mourinho who also masterminded Porto's 2004 Champions League triumph.

'They lost their number one player [Kylian Mbappe], yet managed a remarkable rebuild. So if Luis wins, I’ll be happy for him too.'

It will be PSG’s second Champions League final, five years after they lost 1-0 to Bayern Munich in Lisbon, in their hunt for their first ever European Cup.
