Liverpool have already been busy in the transfer market this summer, with the club on the verge of completing a couple of major deals.
Jeremie Frimpong's move to Anfield is set to be confirmed in the coming days, with the Dutchman having already completed his medical ahead of a £30million switch from Bayer Leverkusen. It seems likely that he will be joined by current teammate Florian Wirtz, with the Merseyside club currently in negotiations over a deal worth up to €150million.
While a couple of incomings are in the offing among playing personnel, there could be a major departure from the Liverpool coaching staff in the coming days.
It has been reported that Arne Slot's assistant manager John Heitinga is being courted by Ajax with a view to becoming manager of the Amsterdam club. Such an opportunity would be difficult to turn down for the former Everton player, who came through the Ajax youth academy and previously had a spell as interim coach of the club.
Should he decide to move back to the Netherlands, it looks as though a former Liverpool player could be his replacement.

Rumoured Liverpool Exit Could See Former Player Return To Anfield
Football Insider is reporting that Dirk Kuyt is being lined up to join the Liverpool coaching staff should Heitinga leave the club.
A former Liverpool player, he is someone that Arne Slot has admired for quite some time. He has reportedly tried to recruit him to his coaching staff in the past, although a move was not agreed at the time.
Kuyt managed Belgian club Beerschot this season, finishing bottom of the Belgian Pro League. However, he remains a highly thought of coach in his homeland and is said to be open to the Liverpool move.
The Dutchman spent six years as a player at Anfield, establishing himself as a firm fan favourite during this period. He would certainly be a popular appointment were it to come off.
