Oklahoma City needed just five games to eliminate the Minnesota Timberwolves from the Western Conference Finals. After leading by 33 at halftime, the Thunder closed out the series with a 124-94 win in Game 5 Wednesday night. Gilgeous-Alexander led the way for OKC with 34 points and eight assists. It’s Oklahoma City’s first NBA Finals appearance since 2012, when Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, James Harden and Serge Ibaka led the Thunder to a matchup against LeBron James’ Miami Heat.
