Antony has revealed his raw feelings after the Manchester United star played in the 2025 Conference League final clash between Real Betis and Chelsea on Wednesday.
Real Betis delivered the first blow of the contest and Manuel Pellegrini’s men took the lead in the opening 10 minutes against Chelsea through winger Abde Ezzalzouli.
The La Liga outfit led 1-0 going into half-time and Chelsea rallied back in the second half and Enzo Fernandez cancelled out Abde Ezzalzouli’s first-half opener.
Nicolas Jackson fired the Blues into the lead only five minutes after Enzo Fernandez’s equaliser before Jadon Sancho added Chelsea’s third of the tie in the 83rd minute.
Betis’ hopes of mounting a late comeback were all but over after Moises Caicedo slammed home a fourth in injury time at the Wroclaw Stadium in Poland.
Chelsea lifted the Conference League trophy on Wednesday evening and a crestfallen Antony was on the receiving end of Betis’ 4-1 thumping in Wroclaw.

Antony’s performance was criticised by United fans and the Brazilian attacker struggled to exert his influence in the Betis attack in the first half and second half.
The former Ajax ace’s loan spell with Betis will come to an end in June and Antony’s future at Old Trafford remains uncertain ahead of the summer transfer window.
Antony took to social media after the Conference League final and admitted that he was so “proud” to wear the Betis shirt for the second half of the 2024-25 season.
The Brazil international said it was with “sincerity” that he directed one message to Betis fans and told the La Liga club’s supporters that they made them “stronger.”
Speaking on Instagram, he wrote: “Sadness is getting so close… but the pride I feel now is much bigger!
“So proud to wear this shirt and build such a beautiful story.
“We made history, know that. To all the fans who have accompanied us at every moment, I say with all the sincerity in the world: you made us stronger.”

Former Ajax star Antony revives his playing career at Real Betis after a disappointing period at Man Utd
Antony seized the opportunity at Betis after he left United in the January transfer window and he established himself as a key player for Pellegrini’s side.
The United player impressed with his form at Betis at times and Antony scored nine times and registered five assists in 26 matches for the Spanish side this season.
Betis reportedly agreed to cover the majority of Antony’s United wages when they signed him in January, but the deal did not include an option to buy him.
Antony, who has been at the Red Devils since 2022, will return to Old Trafford next month and the former Ajax ace is under contract with United until 2027.
It remains to be seen if Antony can climb back into the United first-team squad under manager Ruben Amorim or if his future is away from Old Trafford.
