We have two stories to discuss with the Blue Army on Thursday evening. First of all, Leicester City Football Club has received a desperately required financial boost. The much-needed cash injection will be detailed. Not to mention offering our thoughts on where proceeds will be spent or invested. But why the windfall?
As well as looking at LCFC's cash, there is another matter to attend to in order to bring us up-to-date with the King Power outfit's affairs. A Foxes loanee has now returned to the East Midlands Team. Unless the player in question is eventually sold or loaned out again, he'll be in City's Championship squad for the upcoming 2025/26 season.
Talking Leicester City's much-needed cash injection and the consequent implications for the Foxes side
LCFC will accept any financial help they can get. And when you hear that EPL clubs will each get a share of a £2.84billion, your ears prick up. However, that means City are only granted £8.5m.
That's a rather insignificant amount in footballing terms. Though any money coming to Filbert Way is naturally welcomed. Let's hope it's invested wisely for a change these days!
Academy graduate and extensively utility team member has returns to Leicestershire club
Hamza Choudhury has never really made himself a Premier League starter during his now quite long career as a Fox. Although, he did feature more regularly under ex-Leicester manager Enzo Maresca.
And the Bangladeshi was a success. Whilst playing in the 2023/24 term in England's second division, Choudhury made it known that he's a competent inverted full back at tier two level at least. He's also now said goodbye to the Sheffield United fans.
"I want to thank everyone associated with Sheffield United, the Gaffer and his staff, all my teammates and to every single fan for making my time so memorable here! I've loved being able to play and represent this special club! UTB"
Sheffield Star
LCFC also have funding issues, so signing further proven midfielders is unforeseeable. When some in that role possibly leave, such as Wilfred Ndidi or perhaps Oliver Skipp, a gap must be filled. Therefore maybe keeping Choudhury is wise.
