NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - For several seasons, there have been rumors suggesting a connection between Aaron Rodgers and New Orleans.
Recently, at a fan event, Rodgers, when asked about the possibility of being a vet signing for the Saints, shut down the idea of playing for New Orleans.
“No. That’s the answer,” Rodger told the fan. “No. I’ve played there a couple of times, but no. The answer is no. I’m too old, I don’t want to live in Louisiana. Sorry.”
At this same appearance, Aaron Rodgers was asked if he’d ever consider playing for the Saints.
His response: “No. That’s the answer. No. I’ve played there a couple of times but no. The answer is no. I’m too old, I don’t want to live in Louisiana. Sorry.” https://t.co/ESeFywtDyx

The former four-time MVP seemingly made a joke at the State of Louisiana’s expense despite there never being an offer extended his way.
On the most recent episode of the Overtime podcast, hosts Sean Fazende and Andre Johnson Jr. shared their thoughts on Rodgers’s comments.
“You cannot turn down any offers you have never received,” Fazende said. “As far as I know, the said have never put in any inquiries or offers for Rodgers.”
Rodgers was once a true rival to Drew Brees and undeniably was one of the elite NFL talents of the last decade as the quarterback of the Green Bay Packers. But at 41 years old, and flaming out with the Jets before anything began, he finds himself without a team at the moment.
“When he showed up in New York to be the ‘savior of the Jets’, after a lot of rough years, they seemed like a young and upcoming franchise,” Johnson said. “It took two seasons, one of which Aarson Rodgers didn’t even play, to tear down the New York Jets. What changed? Aaron Rodgers changed.”
