The 25 most impactful transfers following NBA draft deadline

The deadline for college basketball players to withdraw from the NBA Draft was on Wednesday night at 11:59 pm. The roster picture for each team in college basketball team is clearer today, with only a few uncommitted transfers remaining.

It was a whirlwind of a transfer portal starting back in March, with more than 2,000 players hitting the market this offseason in the shortened 30-day window. Some of the sport's biggest names decided to enter the transfer portal to find a new home, often driven by the explosion of NIL money across the college basketball landscape. Many of the top players tested the 2025 NBA Draft waters, but now that the withdrawal deadline is in the rearview, we know which transfers will be in college basketball next season.

Now it's time to discuss the most impactful transfers for 2025-26.

The 2025 transfer rankings on 247Sports take both immediate and long-term impact into consideration, but this list is tailored towards the players we believe will have a massive imprint on college basketball scene for the 2025-26 season.

1. Yaxel Lendeborg | PF | Michigan

Lendeborg is a 6-foot-9, mismatch nightmare on the court. He is strong, athletic, and skilled with terrific instincts, able to play both the four and three. He is a beast on the boards, can bully guys in the post, take defenders off the bounce, score, and step out to make a shot from three, making for immense versatility and impact on the court. Lendeborg instantly became our No. 1-ranked transfer when he entered the portal and stayed there despite challenges from many players who entered after him. Lendeborg flirted heavily with the NBA Draft but ultimately will head to Ann Arbor to join a stacked roster for Dusty May's second season at Michigan.

2. PJ Haggerty | PG | Kansas State

Haggerty was the Player of the Year in the AAC a year ago, largely due to his potent scoring ability. He is at his best with the ball in his hands and getting downhill, where he is a crafty finisher, can make shots from mid-range, and has developed as a shooter from three. He can fill it up and has also proven himself as a playmaker. Haggerty instantly brings immense value to Kansas State's roster and will have every chance to continue his scoring spree in the Big 12.

3. Bennett Stirtz | PG | Iowa

Stirtz broke out into college stardom last season after making the move up from Division II. He's an extremely skilled and savvy guard with a fearless approach to the game. He is a knockdown shooter, a dynamic scorer, and a playmaker who has the clutch gene. Stirtz will take his game to an even bigger stage in the Big Ten and be the man for first-year head coach Ben McCollum.
