Dwight Howard Sends Anthony Edwards Message After Timberwolves' Elimination

The Minnesota Timberwolves have been eliminated from the playoffs, sending Anthony Edwards packing without an NBA Finals appearance

Minnesota lost 4-1 in the Western Conference Finals, falling at the hands of the Oklahoma City Thunder.

After their series loss, one NBA legend decided to take to social media to send a Timberwolves star a message.

Dwight Howard had some choice words for Edwards, who has now led his team to back-to-back trips to the Western Conference Finals and lost both series.

"We still repoing Ant Man and the A I still got Ant as the face of the league next years but SGA said," Howard said. "KNOCK KNOCK ANT: WHO'S THERE? SGA: OKC ANT: OKC WHO? SGA: OK C YOU NEXT SEASON."

Despite the jokes, Howard mentioned that he still believes Edwards can be considered the face of the NBA next year.

The Minnesota Timberwolves entered the NBA playoffs as a No. 6 seed. Before playing the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference Finals, Minnesota defeated the No. 3 Los Angeles Lakers and the No. 7 Golden State Warriors.

Despite having a team well-equipped to compete for an NBA title, with Rudy Gobert, Mike Conley, Jaden McDaniels and Anthony Edwards, Minnesota couldn't find the juice to get it going in the WCF.

Dwight Howard may be taking a jab at the Timberwolves, but he's proven to have what it takes to win an NBA title. Howard played in the NBA from 2004 to 2022, helping lead the Lakers to an NBA title during the 2020 COVID-19 season.
