Heimir Hallgrimsson admits he’s unsure if Ireland captain Seamus Coleman will still be on the scene if the Republic of Ireland qualify for the World Cup finals next year but the Ireland boss is hopeful that Coleman will be available when the qualifying campaign starts in the autumn.
Coleman, along with Sammie Szmodics, was one of two players who dropped out of the initial squad named by Hallgrimsson for the friendly games against Senegal (home) and Luxembourg (away), with Andy Moran (Blackburn/Stoke) the only one called up.
