Jadon Sancho faces an uncertain future at Chelsea with his loan spell from Manchester United set to end next month
Manchester United forward Jadon Sancho has sent a message on social media as his loan spell with Chelsea nears an end.
Sancho relocated to west London on a season-long loan last summer, with the winger looking for a new lease of life after struggling at United since signing from Borussia Dortmund in 2021. Due to the Blues' Premier League position being higher than 14th, Chelsea are now obliged to purchase the forward for £25million.
However, it is believed that there is a £5m break clause that can be paid to withdraw from the deal, which would result in Sancho returning to Old Trafford. If this occurs, it is understood that he will not be reintegrated back into the United squad.
Sancho played and scored in the Blues' 4-1 win over Real Betis in the Europa Conference League final on Wednesday night.
And the 25-year-old has now reacted to helping Chelsea win their first piece of silverware since the Champions League in 2021.
"What a feeling!" he said followed by a medal emoji.
When questioned about Sancho's future following the Conference League final, Blues boss Enzo Maresca told TNT Sports: "From now, we'll discuss it with the club. If we finish fourth, it's thanks to Jadon [Sancho], and if we win tonight, it's the same.
"It's normal to have ups and downs during a season. It's part of the game."
Sancho is eligible to play for Chelsea at the Club World Cup, which begins on June 14. However, his loan deal ends on June 30, so he will not be able to complete the tournament.
It is therefore likely that a decision will be forthcoming before the Blues begin the month-long competition in the United States.
