Nottingham Forest are going in search of new forwards during the transfer window, with new names appearing on the radar each day.
Evangelos Marinakis was desperate to sign a striker in January but chose to keep the purse strings tight instead, ahead of a possible campaign playing in Europe next season.
Ultimately, he might have wished he’d signed someone now, with Forest missing out on the Champions League on the final day of the 2024/25 campaign.
Now, a new name has come onto the radar for Forest, and it looks as though another wonderkid is going to be in the sights of the Reds.

Nottingham Forest want Samuel Mbangula
Forest are definitely going to be trying to sign new forwards during the transfer window, with competition desperately required for Chris Wood and Taiwo Awoniyi.
According to TuttoSport, Juventus wonderkid Mbangula is on the shortlist at both Forest and Bournemouth this summer, with both clubs eyeing reinforcements in attack.
Juventus are actually expecting to receive offers in the next few days, with RB Leipzig also providing interest from the Bundesliga.
It’s not clear whether Juventus would actually be willing to cash in on the player who is valued at around £18 million, although it’s appreciated that such an offer would be good money for the Old Lady.
MORE FOREST STORIES
The 21-year-old played 32 times in all competitions for Juventus during 2024/25, scoring four goals and claiming five assists playing as a left-sided forward.
Mbangula fits the profile of a Forest signing
One year ago, Forest opted for quality over quantity in the transfer market, focusing on younger players with significant resale value.
It would appear that with Conference League football on the table next season, the club are going to focus on doing something similar this time around too.
Mbangula has played on both flanks and as a centre-forward this season, and perhaps Forest are keen admirers of his versatility in the final third.
At 21-years-old, the Belgian would be a very useful signing for the future and as a result, he’d fit the Forest recruitment model down to the ground.
