Leeds United have had their eyes on Manor Solomon since his loan spell at Elland Road finished at the end of the season.

The winger spent the campaign on loan from Tottenham and proved to be a big part of Daniel Farke’s team, gaining promotion to the Premier League.

His impressive performances have led to plenty of speculation about his future, with the Whites at the forefront of teams wanting to take him away from north London permanently.

Solomon set for Tottenham exit

Throughout the season, Solomon became a popular figure among supporters at Elland Road.

The 25-year-old scored the winning goal against Plymouth on the final day of the season, which fired the Whites to the Championship title.

However, with the levels that he has performed to, what the future could hold has been in some doubt.

Tottenham have big issues staring them in the face, with a decision to be made over the future of Ange Postecoglou, but it has previously been suggested that Solomon could have a future at Spurs.

Leeds‘ interest in regaining the services of their former player has remained high, though, and now Farke will be ready to strike.

It has been reported by ESPN (28 May) that Solomon “must” find a new club this summer, suggesting that those in north London don’t see him as someone who will succeed as a Lilywhite.

Leeds set to sign Solomon

It’s no surprise that Solomon is someone at the top of Farke’s transfer list this summer, given just how well he did last season.

The boss needs to create a squad that is able to compete at the top level and retain a place in the Premier League, so having the players there who are already trusting of one another will ease that transition.

Given Spurs have secured their position in the Champions League for next season, they will likely be looking at those with more experience to push them forward next term which, unsurprisingly, leaves Solomon looking towards the exit door.

Leeds will be thrilled, though, and the West Yorkshire outfit must be ready to pounce if the player is available.

Solomon is said to be prepared for a move to Elland Road, leaving no reason for this deal not to be done.
