Manchester United have a big summer coming up, and sales are going to be key in funding Ineos’ ambitious target list.
The transfer window has not even opened yet; however, Manchester United are close to announcing signing number one.
Matheus Cunha is set to join Ruben Amorim’s team, where he will instantly become one of the most important players in the squad.
Cunha is expected to be handed the number 10 shirt at Old Trafford, which signifies how vital he will be to the future successes of the club.
Beyond Cunha, United are plotting a potential swoop for Bryan Mbeumo, with a £50m swoop being eyed up in order to beat Newcastle to his signature.
But in order to afford multiple high-end signings, United will need to sell.

Erik ten Hag plots move for Antony and Alejandro Garnacho
Sales are expected to play a big role in United’s summer considering the financial restrictions currently in place.
Now, according to German outlet Kicker, Bayer Leverkusen and their new manager Erik ten Hag are plotting interest in signing two United players.
More United News
Firstly, Leverkusen is thought to be internally discussing a move for Antony, with Ten Hag known to be a big fan of the Brazilian, who will be available for around £40m this summer.
Antony was so impressive for Real Betis, and will be hunted across Europe this summer, with the sale of Florian Wirtz sure to give Leverkusen the finances to sign him. This would be the third time Ten Hag has overseen Antony’s signing.
In addition, the same report suggests Alejandro Garnacho, who is described as being Leverkusen’s “absolute top solution”.
Garnacho has been told to leave by Amorim, but Ten Hag has an excellent relationship with Garnacho, although a deal is not yet available for Leverkusen.
Erik ten Hag also signed former players at Manchester United
Signing Antony or Garnacho would not be a very inventive recruitment strategy from Ten Hag and Leverkusen, rather, it is exactly how the Dutchman operated at Old Trafford.
During his five transfer windows at United, Ten Hag brought five players to the club whom he had previously managed at Ajax.
Lisandro Martinez
Antony
Andre Onana
Matthijs de Ligt
Noussair Mazraoui
Antony was one of these signings, with Ten Hag convincing United to part ways with £86m on the Brazilian, for which the return of 12 goals in two and a half seasons was incredibly underwhelming.
Whether Leverkusen makes a move for United players or not, we can be sure that Ten Hag will be making suggestions, and we imagine he would love to sign both Antony and Garnacho.
