Warriors Guard Undergoes Unexpected Offseason Surgery

The Golden State Warriors' season ended abruptly in the second round of the playoffs at the hands of the No. 6 seed Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Warriors were sent home in five games after their superstar Stephen Curry missed most of the series due to a left hamstring injury. The injury certainly hampered their ability in the series.

However, another Warriors guard, Brandin Podziemski, suffered an injury of his own. Podziemski injured his left wrist and underwent surgery on Tuesday.

Podziemski is expected to make a full recovery and be ready for training camp in late September.

There was no indication that Podziemski was dealing with a left wrist injury prior to the news breaking. The second-year guard was solid, averaging 11.7 points per game, 5.1 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.1 steals while shooting 44.5 percent from the field and 36.2 percent from three in 64 games and 26.8 minutes of action.
