The Cleveland Cavaliers may be exploring a potential trade with the Orlando Magic that could send Darius Garland to Orlando and Jalen Suggs to Cleveland, though salary cap challenges and possibly a third team complicate the deal.
Despite winning 64 games in the regular season, the Cleveland Cavaliers were eliminated in the second round of the playoffs by the Indiana Pacers — a disappointing outcome that could lead to significant changes.

According to Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com, the Cavaliers might have the groundwork in place for a potential trade involving Darius Garland and the Orlando Magic.
Speaking on the Wine and Gold Talk podcast, Fedor said:
"I think there's a framework of a deal between the Cavs and the Magic that would involve Darius Garland and Jalen Suggs."
He went on to clarify that it's only an early structure.
"I think there's a framework, and I say framework because salary stuff becomes very, very difficult for the Cavs," Fedor said. "So, you're just talking about a general framework with an understanding that other pieces are probably going to have to be involved.
"Maybe a third team is going to have to be involved. Matching salary becomes very, very difficult when you're talking about the Cavs and the salary situation that they're in."
Jalen Suggs had a solid season with Orlando, averaging 16.2 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.5 steals per game.

Meanwhile, the Cavs appear increasingly open to shaking up their core.
According to Fedor, Cleveland is now "more willing" to consider trade possibilities involving both Garland and Jarrett Allen.
"I think the two untouchables are Donovan Mitchell and Evan Mobley," Fedor noted. "And like I have been getting the sense that the Cavs would be more willing to entertain and at least consider possibilities for Jarrett Allen and Darius Garland than they have in the past."
