The Pittsburgh Steelers have a lot to work on this offseason.
From a struggling offense a season ago to possible holdout T.J. Watt on the defense, the team doesn't even know who will play quarterback next season.
As they continue to play the waiting game with veteran free agent Aaron Rodgers, the other players on the team are doing their best not to let the situation under center be a distraction this offseason.
Offensive weapon and tight end Pat Freiermuth said the best thing for him is tojust focus on his game.
“I mean, I just take it day by day,” Freiermuth said. “You know, it is what it is. Just trying to put my head down and be a leader for this offense. We got a lot of new faces on this team, and I’m just kind of uphold the standard that I learned from older guys when I was here. So there’s a lot of other things I can be doing than worrying about who’s gonna be our quarterback.”
After Pittsburgh shipped wideout George Pickens to Dallas via trade this offseason, Freiermuth is the team's leading returning receiver from last year. He could spend time worrying about who will be throwing him the ball in 2025, bu that's not the case.
The Steelers hope to bounce back from a disappointing end to a 10-7 campaign that saw the team lose its last four regular-season games and fall to the rival Baltimore Ravens 28-14 in the Wild Card round of last year's postseason.
