The Kansas City Monarchs are going to play host to a celebrity softball game — and the headliner will be former Kansas Jayhawks basketball star and current NBA player Ochai Agbaji.
The Legends Celebrity Softball Game, presented by Agbaji’s charitable Young Agbaji Foundation, will take place July 26 at Legends Field in Kansas City, Kansas.
Agbaji, who played high school hoops at Oak Park, now plays for the Toronto Raptors.
The July celebrity event will feature a mix of former KU stars, professional athletes and other entertainers, all coming together for a night benefiting youth programs supported by the Young Agbaji Foundation.
The event is scheduled to open with a pre-game celebration featuring on-field appearances by Agbaji and other guests, followed by the main event under the stadium lights.
Attendees can expect surprise appearances, entertainment and classic ballpark food, according to a Monarchs news release. After the game, the festivities will continue with a live rapper/DJ after-party inside the stadium.
General admission tickets start at $25, with premium seats ranging from $50-$75 and exclusive “VIP experiences” available. The VIP ticket includes premium seating, meet-and-greets and signed memorabilia. These ticket prices start at $125.
Sponsors and guests seeking an even more luxurious viewing experience can check out Legends Club and private suite packages. To purchase tickets, or for more information, visit MonarchsBaseball.com.
