Manchester City make decision on 29-year-old top-paid ace on Aston Villa, Newcastle, West Ham…

Manchester City will reportedly be open to sanctioning a loan exit for 29-year-old struggling English attacker Jack Grealish in the summer transfer window.

According to a report by Graeme Bailey on TBR Football, Aston Villa, Newcastle United, and West Ham United are among the prospective suitors vying for the signature of Jack Grealish heading into the summer transfer window. Manchester City will be open to sanctioning a loan exit for the 29-year-old out-of-favour attacker.

Jack Grealish and his struggle

Jack Grealish has seen his progress come to a stuttering halt since joining Manchester City from Aston Villa in a deal worth £100 million. The Englishman also signed a mega-money contract that has made him one of the top-ten highest-paid players in the Premier League. However, he has not lived up to the billing at the Etihad in the last four years.

The 29-year-old has managed only 1,521 minutes of game time while chipping in with three goals and five assists in 32 appearances across all competitions. Meanwhile, Grealish’s stock in the market remains high, with several Premier League clubs, including Aston Villa, Newcastle United and West Ham United, interested in him heading into the summer transfer window.

A man in demand

Aston Villa can do with re-signing Grealish in the summer transfer window amid uncertainties surrounding the long-term futures of Marcus Rashford and Marco Asensio. The two players may not complete permanent moves in the summer transfer window. So, the English international has emerged as a viable target for Aston Villa.

Meanwhile, Newcastle United’s interest in Jack Grealish makes sense. The Tyneside outfit did not replace Miguel Almiron in the winter transfer window after he rejoined Atlanta United. So, the out-of-favour Manchester City is an option worth considering for Newcastle United.

As for West Ham United, Mohammed Kudus faces an uncertain future at the London Stadium heading into the summer transfer window. So, the Hammers must dip their toes in the market for a versatile attacker, with Grealish emerging as a viable target. Manchester City would be open to loaning the 29-year-old Englishman.

Meanwhile, Grealish is happy at Manchester City and will not push a summer departure from the Etihad. While the English international’s stance is admirable, he may not play again for Manchester City amid the Premier League club’s desire to part ways with him.
